One-on-One Appointments

BASIC INFORMATION:

  • The NASC Appointment Program will be open from Monday, March 5, 2012 through Friday, March 23, 2012.
  • Only the first registered attendee from eligible organizations will have access to the Appointment Program and they must login under their NASC member account to access it.  If you are unsure who this is for your organization, contact Beth Hecquet, CMP at 513-281-3888 x 3 or Beth@SportsCommissions.org.
  • Attendees may login as often as they'd like to request appointments, accept/decline appointments requested, set the priority in which appointment requests are scheduled, or block out any times you do not want an appointment scheduled.
  • Appointments will be scheduled in the order you list them. Each organizations first appointment request will be fulfilled, then the second, then third, etc.
  • The first registered attendee will receive an e-mail notification that their organizations schedule(s) is/are available to view no later than Friday, March 30, 2012.
  • NASC Active category members received one (1) appointment schedule per organization.
  • Exhibitors with multiple attendees will request and accept appointments under one account. Multiple schedules will be generated based on the "Total # of Appointments Available per Time Slot" as shown on the My Appointment Availability tab.
  • There are a total of 42 appointment times available per appointment schedule.

SEARCHING FOR ORGANIZATIONS:

  • The Appointment Request Program features the ability view, search and sort through the profiles of those organizations you are eligible to meet. Therefore, it is very important your NASC member Organization Profile is updated, or your organization may not be listed properly in search results.
  • If you create a filter and it does not come back with all of the organizations you were expecting, most likely those organizations do not have a complete profile and therefore they are not being included in the results.
  • Your Matches (Event Owners and Host Organizations only) - this filter will show you the organizations you are eligible to meet with that have the same sport(s) selected on their profile as you, and the same region/state that you represent (host organizations) or can host your sporting events in (event owners).
  • IMPORTANT NOTE - this filter does NOT replace the need to do further research into the organization, it is simply provided as a starting point showing you the organizations that have a profile similar to yours in terms of sport(s) and regions/states.

TIPS WHEN REQUESTING APPOINTMENTS:

  • Multi-sport (such as AAU and NCAA) and National Governing Bodies (USA Curling, USA Fencing) schedules fill up fast, so the higher they are in your priority list, the more likely your appointment request can be filled.
  • There is no limit to the number of appointments you can request. The more requested, the more appointments filled.
  • The past four years, an average of 70% of appointment requests have been filled.

ACCEPTING AND DECLINING APPOINTMENTS:

  • If there is an appointment you would like to have scheduled we highly recommend you to Accept it and then place it in the order in which you'd like it to be scheduled.
  • Appointments that are neither Accepted nor Declined by Friday, March 23, 2012 will automatically be accepted and attempted to be scheduled. These appointments, however, will be scheduled last.
  • If an appointment request is declined, attendees are invited to reach out to that organizations contact to why their request was declined and/or inquire if there is another time they can meet (i.e. sitting together at a breakfast or lunch, attend the Welcome Reception together, participate in an Add-On Activity, etc.)

BLOCKING APPOINTMENT TIMES FROM BEING SCHEDULED

  • Appointments will be scheduled during all NASC Sports Marketplace hours.  If you wish to block out time(s) during these hours you do not want an appointment scheduled, you can do so in the My Appointment Availability tab on the Appointment Program.
  • The Networking Reception will be held on Wednesday, April 18 from 6:00pm - 6:45pm in the NASC Sports Marketplace.   This will provide attendees and exhibitors another opportunity to meet. Feel free to spend more time with someone you've already met, visit with an exhibitor you didn't request an appointment with or with whom an appointment was unable to be scheduled.

YOUR APPOINTMENT SCHEDULE:

  • Appointments will be scheduled after the Appointment Program closes on Friday, March 23, 2012.
  • Appointment schedules will be available to view on the My Scheduled Appointments tab no later than Friday, March 30, 2012.
  • When it is available, you will receive an email when it is available to view, download and print.
  • If you have questions contact Beth Hecquet at 513-281-3888 x 3 or Beth@SportsCommissions.org.
